As a young New York professional, I was overwhelmed by a demanding schedule and in dire need of a solution to cut down on my “chore” time, which seemed to ruin all my free time. I began searching for a laundromat to make my chore time a little less dreadful. I was shocked by what I found: most laundromats and dry cleaners were dirty, neglected the environment and had inconvenient hours. Some even tried to hide these deficiencies by offering unnecessary services like video games and fitness rooms. I quickly realized that the industry was catering to the wrong needs of the customer, and so I set out to do something about it.
